07/09/2011 - Team One West 2011 Ryan is a 3B with an average, athletic frame that will graduate in 2012. Foot speed is well above average as indicated by his 7.09 60 time. Feet are active as he moves well laterally, displaying range. He comes get the ball and plays through well with his body. Throws are accurate through an over the top arm slot but needs to get on a long toss program to aid in developing more arm strength and carry. Offensively, Fraley shows a balanced approach. Hands are quick, flashing bat speed through a long swing path. He needs to let balls travel more and work to keep hands inside the ball, utilizing all fields. Power numbers will continue to improve as he learns to utilize his lower half more efficiently through the swing. Ryan has potential and will catch the eyes of the collegiate coaches as he continues to improve.

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
