07/26/2010 - Team One Midwest 2010 Ryan is a tall, lanky, RHP with an explosive 89 MPH fastball. He delivers the ball on a slight downhill plane with good arm side run. Ryan has a live, loose arm, he works in quick tempo, and he goes right at hitters. He has a great presence on the mound and with his size, his body has a good upside. Effectiveness on the mound can get even better if can avoid throwing across his body, and finish off his pitches more. Ryan has a high ceiling, and he will be an impact player at the next level.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
