04/05/2024 - The Preseason All-Ripken Games - Myrtle Beach With a projectable frame and some emerging tools, Ryan gave a glimpse of his bright future to us in Myrtle Beach at the PreSeason All-Ripken Games. He stood out as a defender at 3B where he showed confident, athletic actions. His hands are sure and he proved he can make plays on the run and throw from different arm slots. As long as he stays under control in his approach and gets into fielding position early enough he makes all the plays. On top of the feet and hands, Ryan has a strong, accurate arm to finish plays across the diamond. At the plate he found the barrel on several occasions and showed advanced feel to hit with a solid 2-strike approach. A square stride and some top hand finish through contact will help the consistency of contact. Ryan also pitched very effectively at the event pumping strikes with his 54 mph fastball. The arrow is pointing up for this young prospect and we look forward to seeing him play again soon.
