11/07/2021 - All-In Membership - Salem (Roanoke), VA Ryan is a 1B prospect who will graduate in 2024. In the field, Ryan makes the routine plays and has a clean exchange. He gains ground well and gets rid of his throws quickly, keeping them accurate/on-line to his target. Getting into a more athletic fielding position can help Ryan field ground balls more efficiently. At the plate, this RHH sets up in an open stance and works through a level swing, producing solid line drives. Ryan can barrel up more baseballs by maintaining center balance throughout his swing. With three more years to develop, Ryan has the time and potential to further build upon his skills on the field.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
