07/17/2017 - Interactive Video Program - Rindge, NH Ryan is a young, R/R 2-way player as a 3B/RHP. With the bat is where he excels. He stands in with a strong base and athletic setup. Hands are quick as he swings on a level path and squares the ball up. He engages his lower 1/2 well and drives the ball on a line. At 3B, he hustles to come and get the GB and tracks the ball into his mitt. He gathers well and has a clean exchange to throw. On the mound, this RHP works the 2 with 4 different pitches (FB, CB, CUT, CH). FB shows some life out of his hand with tailing action topping out at 57 mph. Breaking ball has 9/3 shape with sweeping action. Only a 2022 grad, he still has time to work on his tools and develop his skill set. He will continue to progress by working on the following.

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
