Official Scouting Report

  • OF/RHPPosition Projection

03/24/2024 - All-In National Showcase - Windsor (Madison), WI Ryan is an OF/RHP who will graduate in 2025. Tall frame lean build with plenty of room to add throughout. In the OF, he does a good job of working behind the ball and has a clean exchange off of his left foot. Shows a good crow hop and has a quick release. Made on-lie throws in to infield with an arm velocity up to 77mph. On the mound he has long levers and a projectable frame. Has good rhythm and works with good direction on the mound. He picks up target and lands square to plate. A 3-pitch pitcher who works off of his FB that sits 69-70mph with tailing action. He mixes in a 12/6 breaking ball with good depth and a changeup with tailing action that he throws with FB arm speed. At the plate he starts with a crouched and even stance. Shows good balance and stays in his legs. A flat barrel enables him to spray balls to all fields. Ryan should make huge strides with continued growth and development.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
