04/11/2021 - All-In Membership - Orange (Los Angeles), CA Ryan is a 2024 3B/RHP. Medium frame with some strength present and plenty of room and time to develop. Primary 3B, who showed ability to make routine plays. Works into a low fielding position with some feel for glove pocket. Showed ability to throw from multiple arm angles. Recorded an arm velocity of 62mph. Secondary RHP, throws from a 3/4 arm slot with eyes on target. Young/developing pitcher who throws a FB at 63 mph and an 11/5 curveball. Ryan needs to incorporate a long toss and J-band program to help him improve arm strength and accuracy. Right-handed hitter who hits from an upright and even stance. Simple load and a short stride while staying tall through contact. Ability to rotate hips to contact with some extension. Line drive approach with a bat exit velocity of 76mph. With four years of continued growth and development, we foresee him having the opportunity to play high school baseball and possibly beyond.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
