10/26/2014 - College PREP - Corpus Christi, TX Ryan is a junior that projects as a C & RHP. Behind the dish, Ryan showed positive energy and loud vocals that will pull a team together. His strong wrist and athletic seated position makes him a solid target. His pop times were as low as 2.01 and with improved arm strength and cleaner footwork, he will notice those times improve. At the plate, he hits with a square stance, direct hands and gets good extension through the zone. Keeping his weight back and allowing his body to work together will improve his hitting abilities. On the bump, Ryan showed a high 3/4 arm slot with loose/free action, good balance and a pitchers mentality. He topped out with his FB at 80 sitting in the high 70s for the most part. His CB/SL showed a 10/4 shape in the low 60s tagged teamed with a strikeout CH with AS sink. Ryan is a talented young player with room to improve in the next few years.
