01/15/2021 - 2021 Baseball Factory Pre-Season All-America Tournament (FL) Ryan is a SS who showed as a prospect at the All-America Pre-Season Tournament. At the plate - he has strong/centered balance with fluid rhythm to load. Hands are quick (92 mph exit velocity) and work through a level swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields with gap to gap pop. At SS, he has plus lateral range (6.72 60 time), working from the ground-up with smooth actions. Transfer is quick as he fires strong throws (81 mph velocity) zipping across the diamond.

09/04/2020 - HS All-Region Tournament Ryan continues to show improvements in his baseball abilities. Foot speed has improved as he ran his best 60 time to date, now a 6.78 runner. At SS, he displays smooth / athletic actions. Feet are active as he works around balls and plays through with his body. Glove action is clean and presents well out front. At the plate, he shows a closed setup. Hands are quick (94 mph exit velocity) and work through a level swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields with gap-to-gap pop.

12/27/2019 - Baseball Factory Christmas Camp & Tournament at Pirate City - Session 2 (Ages 14-18) Ryan continues to show a promising future on the diamond. At 2B, he displays smooth / athletic actions. Feet are active and plays through balls with his body. Glove action is firm and presents well out front. Range is a plus as he moves well laterally and covers a lot ground. Throws are accurate but will benefit by building more arm strength through a long toss program. At the plate, he continues to shine through an athletic setup. Hands are quick (87 mph exit velocity) and work through an aggressive swing path. He makes consistent hard contact through a line drive approach with power showing best to the pull side. He has some strength in his swing with the baseball jumping off the bat when centered. At the event, he was 4 for 7 with 2 3B. Mental makeup is a plus as he is very coachable and works hard to be the best player he can be.

06/23/2019 - College PREP - Hagerstown, MD Ryan is an athletic 2B prospect who will graduate in 2021. In the field, Ryan shows active footwork and is agile moving to the ball. He gets into a low position and fields the ball out in front with soft hands. He makes a clean exchange and gets rid of the ball quickly, keeping his throws consistent to his target. At the plate, this LHH sets up in an athletic stance and takes a short stride. He is fluid getting back into his load and hits against a strong front side. He takes a direct swing with fast bat speed, leading to solid contact and gap to gap pop. Overall, Ryan is a solid prospect who has the potential to further develop his skills on the field.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
