12/10/2021 - Baseball Factory Academic All-American Tournament Ryan is a class of 2025 C/SS prospect who showcased his skills at the Baseball Factory Academic All-American Tournament. At C, he has an athletic and relaxed primary setup, with efficient feet, and tracks well. He works his thumb under baseball and works with good direction towards 2nd base. Ryan has a clean/quick transfer with high 3/4 release point and an arm velocity up to 74mph and a best pop time of 2.14 seconds. Creates good blocking angles with his chin tucked. At the plate, he hits from a crouched and square stance with activated hands. Hits into a firm front side, with smooth timing to his swing, and ability to use whole field. A short/direct hand path with a fast barrel through the hitting zone. He hit balls consistently into both gaps with a bat exit velocity up to 72mph. During the games, he reached base 3 times with 3 singles. With 3 years before graduation, we foresee Ryan to continue to develop and mature as a player.

02/12/2021 - Baseball Factory Opening Day Classic (MS - East) Ryan is a talented C/SS that impressed the scouts at the BF Opening Day Classic. Behind the dish, Ryan shows an athletic primary and presents a good target for the pitcher. He receives the ball with confidence and sticks the pitch. His secondary is athletic as he works to throw with great footwork getting rid of the ball with a short arm action and delivers it to the bag with accuracy and carry. Blocking, he's a wall behind the plate showing on-time footwork and keeping the ball in front with quick recoveries. Hitting, Ryan hits in a square stance with comfortable hands and simple timing. He gets his foot down under control and keeps his weight centered allowing him to get a smooth swing off. He makes great contact with a productive gap to gap approach. Ryan shows huge upside with several years to grow and develop, we hope to see this stud again soon.

09/04/2020 - MS All-Region Tournament Ryan continues to shine behind the plate and did so again at the All-Region Tournament. He sits in athletically with good flexion and tracks pitches into a soft mitt. He sticks pitches in the zone, framing well. Transfer is clean with accurate throws to 2B and pop times at 2.32. Offensively, this lefty has quiet/simple actions waiting for a pitch he likes. He whips the barrel with speed, engages his lower 1/2 well and squares the ball up with pop to his pull-side. Only a 2025 grad - Timmons has a solid skill-set with a ton of upside and time to progress.

12/27/2019 - Baseball Factory Winter Classic (Ages 12-14) Ryan continues to show improvements in his baseball abilities and has a promising future on the diamond. Foot speed has improved as he ran his best 60 time to date. Behind the plate, feet are active as he works in line through a clean transfer / exchange. Pop times have improved as he threw his lowest time to date at 2.57 with accuracy on his throws. Times will continue to drop as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program. Hands are soft / sure and he sticks balls in the zone. He utilizes his body well through the blocking process, centering balls well out front. At the plate, he shows a squared setup. Hands are quick and work to and through a level swing path. He has strength in his swing and shows a feel for the barrel with power showing best to the pull side. Mental makeup is a plus as he is a team player, coachable, and plays the game hard.

10/26/2019 - Mid Atlantic Regional Pitching/Catching & Offensive Skills Combined Weekend (Ages 14-18) Ryan is a coachable C prospect who worked hard on his skills during the Accelerated Training Weekend. Behind the plate, Ryan sits in an athletic stance and receives with a quiet glove. He replaces his feet well on his throws and gets rid of the ball quickly. He is smooth moving to block and covers up well. Making a cleaner exchange can help Ryan improve defensively. At the plate, this LHH sets up in a square stance and takes a short stride. He is fluid getting into his load and hits against a strong front side. He takes a short swing with fast bat speed, leading to loud contact and line drives. Ryan can improve as a hitter by consistently maintaining center balance. Overall, Ryan is a solid prospect who has the potential to further develop his skills on the field.

07/19/2019 - Cape Cod Select Training & Competition (Ages 12-14) Ryan is a lean and athletic C/SS. Behind the plate, Ryan shows a relaxed primary stance. His secondary is square, replacing his feet as he throws down to second. Blocking shows to be his strength with quick and on time footwork and is able to cover ground laterally. At the dish, Ryan shows a quiet head with low and comfortable hands. His load is simple with a heel lift rotating against a firm front side and a smooth swing. He makes consistent contact with good barrel control and a gap to gap approach. Long toss and agility work will help improve Ryans game on offense and defense. Ryan showed a drive to improve his game and has several years to develop.

04/28/2019 - Interactive Video Program - Plymouth Meeting (Philadelphia), PA Ryan is a thin, 2-way player who catches and plays SS. Behind the plate, Ryan sits in low, in a square position, and his hands are firm. He tracks the ball well, his exchange is clean, and he throws with accuracy and direction from a clean arm action. Pop times were as low as 2.85 seconds. At SS, Ryan has active/efficient footwork, a presentable glove, and he fields squarely. He centers the ball well, his exchange is clean, and he throws with accuracy to his target. Offensively, Ryan has a square/athletic set-up, good balance, and he swings in good rhythm. Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
