12/27/2023 - Baseball Factory Recruiting Classic Ryan is a tall 2026 OF/LHP who showcased his talents at the BF Recruiting Classic. In the outfield, he has good energy and tries to create angles. He does a good job tracking the ball and works hard to get behind balls in the air. He throws from a ¾ arm slot and had a 78 mph top raw velocity. At the plate, he has a tall stance, a high hand slot, and an activated load. Ryan has good bat speed and made consistent contact. He showcased great barrel accuracy during batting practice and was able to hit the ball to all fields. On the mound, he had a 3-pitch mix. He had a fastball that sat 64-69, a curveball that was 51-58 mph, and a change-up that sat 52-53 mph. He had good separation and got good extension to the plate. Ryan did a great job of getting his back leg thru and ended in a good fielding position on the mound. During the game, he reached base several times at the plate. He had a pair of singles and a hit-by-pitch. With a few years left of development, we expect Ryan to continue to grow on the baseball field.

08/13/2023 - National Showcase - Colorado Springs, CO Ryan is a 2026 LHP prospect with a tall, athletic frame at 6'1" 145 pounds. On the mound, Ryan throws from a 3/4 slot and shows off an impressive arm action. He does a good job of gathering his balance over the rubber and gets on-time separation. He has a good frontside glove and a clean arm action, and does a nice job of extending through his release. He gets a proper stride length and really works well down hill. His FB reached a velo of 78 MPH and showed some tail into lefties. His CB has nice, gradual break and his CH has some flash as an out pitch. He is capable of making good adjustments on the mound and shows a ton of projectability. At the plate, he starts in a squared stance and has a short stride. His hips work through contact and he finishes strong. He flashes some line drive contact and works hard to stay on the ball through contact. Overall, Ryan is an exciting pitching prospect that we expect to play at the next level!

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
