08/04/2010 - College Prep Super Regional - Middletown, CT - PM Ryan is a young, small, thin, LHP that will graduate in 2012. On the mound, Ryan has good direction toward the plate, he keeps his eyes to his target, and he repeats his delivery well. He throws strikes with all of his pitches and shows to be somewhat effective against left handed hitters. Ryan can improve his mound effectiveness if he can add arm strength, use more of his body, and finish off his pitches. Ryan did not hit at the workout.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
