08/04/2010 - Pirate City World Series 2010 - Session 1 Ryan is a young two-way player at 3B plus on the mound with an average frame that shows projection as he continues to physically mature. Currently, he projects best at 3B for the next level. Foot speed is well above average as indicated by his 7.09 60 time. Feet are active in his lateral movements but needs to be more aggressive in coming to get, playing through the baseball with his body. Glove action is clean and smooth but deep due to feet stopping through the fielding process. Throws show accuracy, flashing carry as he will benefit by getting on a long toss program. Offensively, Wolf shows a balanced approach with hands working inside as he uses the middle of the field but has some mechanical flaws that are hindering him from reaching his full potential with grades improving with instruction and adjustments. On the mound, fastball shows a range of 68-70 mph with well below average off speed pitches that need further developments to be quality pitches at the next level. With 2 years to further develop, Ryan has abilities with room and time to improve.
