06/23/2023 - Baseball Factory Select Training at the College World Series Ryden is a 2028 3B/RHP who showcased his skills during the BF Select Training at The College World Series. At 3B he starts on the balls of his feet and shows athletic actions. Showed good body control at baseball and keeps his eyes behind his glove. He creates momentum towards his target, with ability to throw from multiple arm slots, and an arm velocity up to 73mph. On the mound he works exclusively from the stretch. He has a good mound presence and is composed. He does a good job of controlling the run game and fields his position well. He attacks hitters with a FB that topped out at 66mph, an 11/5 shaped breaking ball, and a changeup he throws with FB arm speed. In 2 innings of work, he struck out 2 batters and induced soft contact. At the plate he hits from an athletic and even stance with comfortable hands. He separates his hands and gets on-plane early. In live game action he reached base 3 times with a single and was hit by a pitch 2 times. Ryden worked hard and made necessary adjustments during his week in Omaha. We look forward to seeing him at another event in the near future.
