05/14/2023 - National Showcase - San Francisco, CA In the 18 months since we last saw Redondo, he has built up his body strength in both his upper and lower halves. In grip strength, he went up a total of 35 pounds overall on the dynamometer. In the standing broad jump, he increased 18 inches further now up to 8'6" which is well above-average for a varsity baseball player. This 2025 graduate looks the part on the mound. He showed us a solid three pitch mix with his two-seamer showing tailing action and hitting 83mph consistently. His curveball sat 69-72mph with sharp break and frequent command. Best pitch might have been his changeup with late run sitting 75-76mph. Ryken's clean arm action coupled with lower half strength bode well for future growth on the bump. We continue to expect big things from Ryken as he marches closer to his junior year.
