10/06/2019 - Interactive Video Program - Washington (Pittsburgh), PA Ryland is a young, 2-way player who plays 3B and RHP. Defensively, Ryland gets in a good ready position, feet are active, and he fields low and athletically. He has soft hands, makes plays, and throws with accuracy across the diamond. On the mound, this RHP has a deceptive delivery, he keeps his eyes on target, and competes in the zone with his pitches. Offensively, Ryland has a square/athletic stance, good balance, and he swings in good rhythm. He loads well, makes hard/consistent contact, and he works the middle of the field. Overall skills can continue to improve with work on the following.

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
