11/28/2021 - All-In Membership - Palmyra (Harrisburg), PA Sam is a thin, athletic, OF who will graduate in 2022. Defensively, Sam has good pre-pitch actions, active feet, and he tracks the ball well. He makes plays, catches the ball at its highest point, and throws with momentum and accuracy after a quick exchange to his cut off man. Continuing to add arm strength, added reps, and an earlier glove will help defense improve. At the plate, Sam has an athletic stance, good balance, and he loads his hands well. He has quick hands, fast bat speed, and he makes level/consistent contact. Hitting can spike with added physical strength.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
