Exclusive College Recruiting Program Sam is a 2024 corner IF prospect who has potential on the mound. As a corner infielder he has good feet with a quick first step and good rhythm in his footwork and soft hands. His arm plays well at 3b and as he continues to develop his agility and athleticism, he projects to be an average to potential above average defender. Sam shines in the box with an advanced RH swing that combines bat speed and feel for his barrel to be a high impact hitter who can hit for average and has a power profile with lift in his swing path and good use of his lower half to use the big part of the field and pull side for power. His frame is projectable and will continue to add strength as he matures to be corner infield defender with middle to top of the order impact offensively.

06/21/2021 - Official College Recruiting Membership - Frederick, MD Sam is a 3B/RHP prospect who will graduate in 2024. Medium frame athletic build with plenty of physical projection remaining. On the mound, this right-handed pitcher keeps eyes on target throughout his delivery and hides the baseball. Quick arm with a deceptive arm slot. Works at the bottom of the zone with his FB was up to 73mph. 9/3 shape on his slider and a changeup with FB arm speed with good run to RHH. FB was best pitch during his bullpen. At 3B, he has active/efficient footwork that enables him to create good fielding angles. Athletic/square fielding position, with a low funnel, who fields the ball out front. Showed ability to pick out hops, with a clean exchange, and throws from a 3/4 arm slot. Accurate and on-line throws across diamond, with an arm velocity of 76mph, during his workout. A right-handed hitter, starts with an upright and open stance. Quiet head/eyes enable to track pitches well. Good extension through the zone as he sprayed balls to all fields during his round of BP. Recorded a bat exit velocity of 81mph. With continued growth and development, we foresee Sam having opportunities to play at the next level.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
