Exclusive College Recruiting Program Sam is a 2023 two-way prospect who plays SS and pitches. With an athletic frame with good size and room to add strength there is intriguing potential to Sam on both sides of the game. As a hitter he has a swing that shows present bat speed with the ability to drive the baseball recording consistent low 80 MPH exit velocity with room to improve and the ability to get the ball in the air pull side. Defensively, his raw arm strength at 88 MPH shows the ability to handle SS or 3b with good fundamental footwork and soft hands the arm carry and accuracy to it from the dirt. On the mound he currently works in the low 80 MPH range with good body control and a repeatable delivery there is potential to add velocity to his FB and with pair of offspeed pitches he throws for strikes he has the potential to be a very strong college arm. Overall there is potential for Sam on both sides of the game as a position player and pitcher at the college level.

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
