03/14/2021 - All-In Membership - Manalapan, NJ Samson is a 2024 3B. Medium frame and athletic build with broad shoulders and has plenty room to develop. Primary third baseman good pre-pitch routine and developing footwork throughout the fielding process. Ability to pick out hops as he stays low and keeps eyes behind baseball. Clean exchange and a quick release allow him to make online throws across the diamond. Right-handed hitter that starts from a tall and open stance. Square stride with good balance and extension out front. Swings with intent and has strength in his swing. Bat speed and barrel control will improve as Samson learns to stay on his backside longer. 4 years for Samson to continue to develop and mature, we see him having an opportunity to play at the next level.

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
