01/12/2018 - 2018 Under Armour All-America Pre-Season Tournament Samuel is a solid, strong 3B who has a promising future on the diamond. At the plate is where he shows best, displaying outstanding hitting/power potential through a tall setup. Hands are quick generating bat speed to and through a short/direct/level swing path, creating extension. Barrel accuracy is a plus with the baseball exploding off the bat when centered with power showing best to the pull side. At 3B, he displays clean/athletic actions. He utilizes his quick feet in his lateral movements, displaying range. Hands/feet work well together as he displays smooth/fluid actions. Throws display accuracy and on line carry across the diamond. Samuel has a ton potential and is a sure player to follow.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
