09/18/2024 - Arizona Junior Fall Classic (2026) Sawyer Hepburn, a 3B/RHP, made a strong impact at the Arizona Junior Fall Classic. At third base, he showed great confidence and skill with his hands, making every routine play and even pulling off some impressive non-routine ones. With just a bit more improvement in his foot speed and comfort with his backhand, he’ll be even more prepared to excel defensively. At the plate, Hepburn demonstrated excellent patience, drawing three walks over the weekend. With his natural power, he can afford to be more aggressive and swing with intent to drive the ball more consistently. On the mound, his fastball reached 76 mph, complemented by a 71 mph curveball. He turned in a strong outing, allowing just one hit over five innings. While he seemed to tire slightly by his third inning, with more strength and conditioning, this will become a non-issue. Overall, Hepburn is a well-rounded and solid player with great potential.
