09/21/2022 - Arizona Junior Fall Classic (2024) Sean continues to show as a prospect with his baseball abilities at the Arizona Jr Fall Classic. Foot speed has improved as he ran his best 60 time to date, now a 7.05 runner. At SS, he displays smooth / clean actions. Feet are active as attacks balls and plays through well with his body. Glove action is soft / sure and presents well out front. He moves well laterally and covers a lot of ground in the MIF. Throws are accurate with on line carry (84 mph velocity) across the diamond. At the plate, power potential is now outstanding through an athletic setup. Hands are quick (90 mph exit velocity) and works through a level swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields with gap to gap pop. Lower half works well through the swing with an aggressive hip turn. Mental makeup is a plus as he has a great personality, is very coachable and works hard to be the best player he can be.

03/13/2022 - Official College Recruiting Membership - San Jose, CA Sean continues to show as a prospect with improvements in his baseball abilities. Foot speed has improved as he ran his best 60 time to date, now a 7.13 runner. At the plate, hands are quick (85 mph exit velocity) and work through an aggressive swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields with gap to gap pop. Lower half works well through the swing with an aggressive hip turn. At SS, he continues to shine as he displays smooth / athletic actions. Feet are active as he works around balls and plays through with his body. Glove action is clean and presents well out front. He utilizes his foot quickness in covering a lot of ground in the MIF. Hands feet work well together as he gets rid of the baseball quickly with accuracy / carry (83 mph velocity) across the diamond.

08/01/2021 - Baseball Factory National World Series at Pirate City - Session 2 (HS) Sean continues to show improvements in his baseball abilities and has a promising future on the diamond. Foot speed has improved as he ran his best 60 time to date, now a 7.38. At the plate, hitting abilities are now outstanding with solid power potential through a squared setup. Hands are quick and work through level swing path. He makes consistent hard contact and stays inside the ball through a line drive approach. At SS, defensive abilities are solid as he displays smooth / athletic actions. Feet are active as he works around balls and plays through with momentum to his target. Glove action is soft / sure and presents out front. He moves well laterally and covers ground in the MIF. Mental makeup is a plus as he is very coachable and works hard to be the best player he can be.

04/11/2021 - All-In Membership - San Jose, CA Sean is an athletic SS prospect who will graduate in 2024. In the field, Sean shows efficient footwork and attacks the ball aggressively. He gets into a square position and fields the ball out in front of his body. His exchange is clean and he gains ground well on his throws, keeping them on-line across the diamond. At the plate, this RHH sets up in an athletic stance and takes his stride on time. He is smooth to load and hits against a strong front side, producing solid contact to the opposite field. Overall, Sean is a talented prospect who has the time and potential to further build upon his skills on the field.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
