01/12/2024 - 2024 Baseball Factory Pre-Season All-America Tournament Sebastian is a 2026 2B/RHP who showcased his talents at the BF Pre-Season All-American Event. At 2B, he has a good pre-pitch step and plays on the balls of his feet. He works well to his glove side and fields the ball with one-hand and eyes behind his glove. He has a clean exchange and throws from a high ¾ arm slot. On the mound, Sebastian was very efficient and kept his pitch count down in his outing. He has a FB that sat at 74-75 mph and showed great command. He also showcased a CB that sat at 64 mph and a CH that was 64-65 mph and kept hitters guessing. Sebastian showed great comfort with runners on and did a great job varying his looks. At the plate, he starts from an athletic stance, has a square stride and an effective load. His lower 1/2 was strong and he keeps a firm front leg with fast bat speed. Sebastian did a great job keeping his hands inside the ball and has a direct swing path that created a lot of line drives in batting practice. In the game, he was able to reach base several times getting 2 hits and 3 walks. We foresee that Sebastian will continue to impress coaches as he progresses.

01/13/2023 - 2023 Baseball Factory Rookie Pre-Season All-America Tournament Sebastian is a 2026 SS/RHP who showcased his skills during the BF Rookie PSAA Tournament. At SS, starts in an athletic position, with smooth footwork, and works through the baseball. Closes distance on batted balls and fields out front. He creates momentum towards his target and keeps his feet moving. Throws from multiple arm slots with an arm velocity up to 78mph. On the mound, he works exclusively from the stretch. He gathers over the rubber, with a clean leg lift, and gets chest to glove. A 3-pitch pitcher who attacks hitters with a FB topping out at 74mph, an 11/5 shaped breaking ball, and a changeup with good movement that he throws with FB arm speed. In 3 innings of work, he punched out 6 hitters and didn't allow a hit. At the plate, he sets up in an athletic and square stance with loose hands. He hits into a firm frontside and showed good barrel control. Hit balls to all fields with a bat exit velocity up to 77mph during his round of BP. Overall, Sebastian is a solid 2-way prospect who has the potential to further build upon his skills on the field.

07/16/2022 - Baseball Factory National World Series at IMG Academy - (MS) Sebastian is a 2026 OF/RHP prospect who showcased his ability at the National World Series. In the OF, he starts in a relaxed position and works to keep the ball in front of him. He gets rid of the ball as he throws from an over-the-top arm slot with an arm velocity up to 72mph. At the plate, he hits from an athletic stance and takes an aggressive swing. Showed quick hands and late bat whip. Made contact to all fields with a bat exit velocity up to 77mph during BP. During the event, Sebastian reached base 3 times with a double and 2 base on balls. On the mound, he has a good mound presence and works with good tempo. He attacks hitters with a FB that topped out at 70mph, a 10/4 shaped breaking ball, and a developing changeup. In 2 innings of work, he punched out 3 batters and threw 66% of his pitches for strikes. With 4 years of continued growth and development, we foresee Sebastian making huge strides on the baseball field.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
