01/17/2025 - 2025 Baseball Factory Pre-Season All-America Tournament Sebastian McEnaney is a versatile catcher and third baseman with a strong arm, solid defensive skills, and a developing offensive game. At 5'9", 170 lbs, he has a durable and athletic frame suited for both catching and corner infield play. His 84 mph arm velocity and best pop time of 2.03 seconds showcase a quick release and strong throwing ability, making him effective in controlling the running game. His receiving and blocking skills continue to improve, giving him a solid foundation as a defensive catcher. At the plate, McEnaney demonstrates a compact right-handed swing with a 76 mph exit velocity and solid barrel accuracy, showing the ability to make consistent contact. As he continues to refine his approach and add strength, he has the potential to develop more offensive power. Athletically, McEnaney possesses good footwork and lateral quickness (4.58 shuttle time), which benefits both his catching and infield defense. His grip strength (127R/110L) and broad jump (94 inches) highlight his physical strength and explosive potential, which will continue to translate into his game. Overall, McEnaney is a defensive-minded catcher with a strong arm, quick release, and emerging offensive potential. His ability to play multiple positions, control the running game, and improve at the plate makes him a valuable player with room to grow at the next level.

07/09/2024 - Cape Cod Select Training & Competition (HS) Sebastian is a 5ft 8/160 catcher in the 2026 class. Scouts raved about his energy and work ethic at the Cape Cod Experience. They felt he had an amazing week and played with top flight focus and was driven to make great strides. Behind the plate, he popped at 2.03/86 velo H-2B and was routinely on the bag. He has excellent body control behind the plate and his hands are strong. He can redirect the baseball with quick/clean actions and arm action is short. At the plate, he swings with intent to do damage to the baseball. He gets his barrel to the zone quickly and creates line drive production. Shows strike zone awareness with 3 BB’s in game action. Overall, Sebastian is a player to watch in the 2026 class.

12/28/2023 - National Showcase - Milton, NY Sebastian is a C/3B who prospect who will graduate in 2026. Behind the dish he shows an easy sit with a low primary stance. Tracks pitches well and works his thumb under the baseball. Has a low/square secondary stance and does a good job of gaining ground to second base on his throws. Made on-line throws to second base consistently with an arm velocity up to 79mph and a best pop time of 2.12 seconds. Shows a good chest angle on his blocks and tucks his chin. A right-handed hitter he starts with a crouched and even stance. Shows a good hip turn and intent in the swing. During his round of BP, he hit balls to all fields with a bat exit velocity up to 76mph. With 2 years of continued growth and development, we foresee this 2-way prospect having opportunities to play at the next level.

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
