01/18/2013 - Baseball Factory National Spring Training at Pirate City Seth is a young RHP/3B that will graduate in 2015. Feet are active as he attacks ground balls with his feet, squaring up well and displaying clean hands. He needs to work to play through balls while presenting hands more out front to improve defensive grade. At the plate, Bertelsman shows an balance setup and rhythm. Hands are loose / smooth and work through a level swing path. He makes consistent contact and shows a feel for the barrel through a solid line drive approach. For hitting grades to improve, he needs to work to keep hands inside the ball to utilize all fields. Power numbers will continue to improve as he learns to use his lower half more. On the mound, fastball shows a range of 62-64 mph with arm side run. Breaking ball displays 10/4 shape with gradual break. Stock on the mound will continue to rise as more arm strength is gained. With 2 years to further develop, Seth has abilities with time and room to improve.
