01/16/2009 - Under Armour Pre-Season All America - 2009 Seth continues to show steady improvement in his baseball abilities. He still does project best in the OF where he utilizes his quick, athletic feet well in his defensive play. He is aggressive, getting great jumps, displaying plus range. He does need to stay on a strict long toss program to aid in further developing more arm strength and carry on throws. He did not show as well at the plate as we have seen in the past but potential is there. Donnelly has abilities with a lot of room to continue to improve.

10/12/2008 - College PREP - Baltimore, MD Seth continues to show as a two way player on the mound and in the outfield. He does currently only project in the outfield where he has a ton of athletic ability, especially at the plate. Hitting grades continue to improve as does his power potential. He finds the barrel through a quick, short path. Bat speed is outstanding and his has strength in his swing. In the outfield, foot speed is above average and he utilizes his quick feet in tracking down balls in the outfield. He plays aggressive and has an idea defensively. Arm strength continues to show life, carry, and accuracy into his target. On the mound, Donnelly has average to near average ability and needs to concentrate his work ethic in the outfield and at the plate where he will get some looks from the college coaches.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
