01/12/2024 - 2024 Baseball Factory Pre-Season All-America Tournament Skyler showed as a prospect at the Preseason All American showcase. At SS, defensive abilities are outstanding as he displays smooth / fluid actions. He starts in an athletic ready position and fields in a square position. Glove action is sure and present well out front. He utilizes his tremendous foot quickness (7.26 60 time) in covering a lot of ground. Throws are accurate with online carry to his target. At the plate, he continues to shine through an open setup. Hands are quick and work through an aggressive swing path. He makes consistent contact through a line drive approach, utilizing all fields. Lower half works well through the swing with an aggressive hip turn. Overall, Skyler is a talented prospect who has the skill set to contribute at the next level.

12/27/2023 - Baseball Factory Recruiting Classic Skyler is a 2026 SS who showcased his talents at the BF Recruiting Classic. At SS, he starts from an athletic position with quick and effective actions. He fields out front and has a quick exchange with good momentum across the diamond. He throws from a 3/4 arm slot with good carry and an 81 mph top velocity. Skyler also showed his ability to play both 2B and 3B at a high-level. At the plate, he starts from a square stance. has loose hands, and a small-simple load. He has a good rhythm, a smooth swing path, and fast hands. Skyler has a lot of potential as he continues to grow and fill out and we expect to see great things in the future from him.

01/13/2023 - 2023 Baseball Factory Rookie Pre-Season All-America Tournament Skyler is a 2026 SS who showcased his skills during the BF Rookie PSAA Tournament. At SS, starts in an athletic ready position, with smooth footwork, and creates good angles. Fields out front, with soft hands, and has a clean transfer as he keeps working towards his target. Made accurate throws across the diamond from a 3/4 arm slot with an arm velocity up to 74mph. Showed good touch on his DP feeds and pivots. At the plate, he sets up in an athletic and square stance. Has a controlled load, with activated hands, and he hits into a firm front side. Showed good barrel control as he hit line drives to all fields with a bat exit velocity up to 74mph. Overall, Skyler is a good player who has the potential to further build upon his skills on the field.

12/27/2022 - Baseball Factory Recruiting Classic Skyler is a coachable SS prospect who showcased his skills during the Recruiting Classic. In the field, Skyler shows smooth footwork and is agile covering ground. He fields with soft hands and has a clean exchange. He gets rid of the ball quickly and works to keep his throws accurate to his target. At the plate, this RHH sets up in a square stance with comfortable hands. He displays plus barrel control and hits against a strong front side, spraying line drives to all fields. Overall, Skyler is a talented prospect who has the potential to further build upon his skills on the field.

11/06/2022 - Official College Recruiting Membership - Parker (Denver), CO Skyler is a lean SS who has a promising future on the diamond. At SS, he displays clean / smooth actions. Feet are active as he displays proper footwork as he works to square ground balls but needs to play through with his body. Glove action is clean and presents out front. Range will increase as he improves foot quickness. Throws are accurate but will benefit by building more arm strength through a long toss program. At the plate, he shows a squared setup. Hands are loose and work through a level swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. Lower half works well through the swing as he maintains balance through an aggressive hip turn. With 4 years to further develop, Skyler has potential with time and room to progress his game.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
