07/31/2013 - Baseball Factory National World Series at Pirate City - Session 1 White continues to show as a LHP/OF with solid / steady play in his baseball abilities. On the mound, fastball showed a range of 77-79 mph with arm side run / sink. Breaking ball displays 1/7 shape with late break. He maintains arm speed on his changeup, showing a feel for with fading action. Control is a plus as he throws strikes with all his pitches. He is in line towards his target showing level shoulders and good balance. Stock on the mound will continue to rise as more arm strength is gained. He also can work on getting better lead arm action, a smoother landing, and sooner separation. His curveball continues to be his best pitch and that will get outs at the next level. In the OF, he utilizes his quick feet well in taking proper routes / angles in tracking down balls and working to get behind, playing through well with momentum to his target. He needs to work on getting better backspin on his throws. At the plate, he shows a balanced setup with rhythm. He has quick twitch muscles, and his hands are quick, flashing bat speed through a level swing path. Barrel accuracy is a plus with the baseball jumping off the bat when centered. Power numbers will continue to improve as he learns to use his lower half more and he can also work on a smoother load. During gameplay he showed that he can run the bases aggressively and utilize his 6.88 60 yard dash speed. Mental makeup is a plus as he is a great teammate, works hard, and is very coachable. His athleticism will make him an attractive option at the next level.
