01/14/2022 - 2022 Baseball Factory Pre-Season All-America Tournament (FL) Stone continues to impress on the diamond. He improved in all categories that were measured at the Baseball Factory Pre-Season All-American. Most notably, his exit velocity at 91mph can turn heads. At the plate, he has a simple approach with a consistently level swing and present strength. He has also shaved three-quarters of a second off of his 60 yard dash in the last year confirming that he has been working on his speed when no one is looking. On the mound, he was touching 78mph with his fastball and supplementing that pitch with a curveball that he consistently spins. He also threw a deceptive change-up maintaining his fastball arm speed. This 2024 grad continues to move in the right direction.

12/27/2020 - Baseball Factory Recruiting Classic This 2024 graduate had a solid showing against older players in Arizona. He gathers over the rubber and throws downhill. In addition, he showed poise during his outing touching 77mph with his fastball and flashing his slider as a possible strikeout pitch down the road. His power at the plate is undeniable due to the fact he maintains a level bat path with quick hands resulting in advanced exit velocity off of the barrel. Stone is one to watch as he moves through the high school ranks.

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
