04/05/2024 - All-Ripken Games - Myrtle Beach, SC Syncear played very well for the Victory team at the PreSeason All-Ripken Games as he went 7-11 with a BB at the plate. He is athletic, plays hard, can run, and swings the bat well. At the plate his left-handed stroke leads to a lot hard barrel contact. He is most comfortable turning on balls, and flashes some juice when he gets his pitch. His bat path works well and Syncear is aggressive when he sees a pitch he likes. Using the whole field and a bit more rhythm will continue to help him as he faces higher level pitching. Defensively he takes good angles and has an accurate arm starting the double play. Fielding the ball out in front a little more will help his consistency on ground balls. Syncear also pitched effectively with a fastball up to 55 mph and good tempo to his delivery. He finishes well after a short arm stroke and deceptive motion that makes it difficult on hitters. Overall, this is a young prospect to keep an eye on as he continues to develop.
