10/06/2018 - 2018 Under Armour Showcase: Baseball Factory's Futures West Tank has a complete all-around game with a quality mix of tools and the ability to use them in games. He looks to be able to stay at the premium position of SS thanks to sure hands, efficient feet and a strong, accurate arm across the diamond. He plays low and is a dependable 2-handed fielder. At the plate Tank has a smooth left-handed stroke with good balance throughout and a clean, connected move through contact. It's easy to see him making a lot of hard contact against all levels of pitching. He stalks pitches and is regularly on-time resulting in frequent line drive contact to all fields.

03/13/2016 - College PREP - Monterey Park (Los Angeles), CA Tank is a prospect in the MIF who will graduate in 2020 with a promising future on the diamond. Defensive abilities are well above average, displaying smooth / fluid actions. He moves well laterally, displaying range in the MIF. Glove action is soft / sure as he presents well out front. Hands / feet work well together through the fielding process as he gets rid of the baseball quickly with life / carry / accuracy on his throws. At the plate, he shows an athletic setup. Hands are quick and work to and through a level swing path, creating extension. He works to stay inside the ball and shows a feel for the barrel, through a line drive approach. With 4 years to further develop, Tank has the makings of a special type player and will get looks from the collegiate coaches with his baseball abilities.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
