On the mound, Tanner gathers over the rubber and separates his hands on time. He works with a quick arm and extends through his release, staying inline toward the plate. Tanner shows a two pitch mix with his fastball topping out at 86mph with late arm side run. Breaking ball sits from 70-73mph with sharp 11-5 break. In the field, Tanner shows active footwork and attacks the ball aggressively. He gets into a square position and fields the ball out in front with soft hands. His exchange is quick and he makes consistent throws with carry through his target. At the plate, this RHH shows an advanced approach through a square setup. He gets back into his load and works through a level swing, producing loud line drives and great raw power (91mph exit velo). Overall, Tanner is a talented prospect who has the skill set to contribute at the next level.
