01/15/2010 - Under Armour Pre-Season All-America - 2010 Tate is a two-way player in the OF plus on the mound with an athletic frame that is well suited for his positions. Currently, he is more suited on the mound for the next level. Arm strength is a plus as he topped out at 89 mph with occasional tail. Off speed pitches are quality pitches that will get outs at the next level. He slows his body down with his off speed pitches but throws strikes, attacking hitters. Delivery is deceptive as he works quickly. Foot speed is well above average as indicated by his 7.00 60 time. He utilizes his feet well in taking proper routes / angles in tracking down balls but needs to work in getting behind fly balls to play through. Offensively, Parrish has strength in his swing as he attacks the baseball with hands. Tate has an upside on the mound with the makings to be a special type arm as he will get looks from the top D1 schools and pro scouts.
