07/26/2013 - Baseball Factory National World Series at Pirate City Tate is a 2 way player showcasing as a LHP and 1B. On the mound Tate has a good mound presence and showed improvements with his control. He pounded the strike zone with his fastball and showed that he has good movement. He gets to a good balance point and repeats his delivery allowing him to stay consistent. His curveball has good bite and he uses it on both sides of the plate. Tate has a lot of upside on the mound and will continue to be a pitcher to watch as he gets older. In the field he has firm hands, fields the ball out front and has active feet. At the plate he has an open stance, centered balance, and uses his lower half well. His swing is level and is able to find the barrel consistently.
