Currently, he projects best on the mound for the next level. Delivery is sound showing proper mechanics that allows his arm action to work quickly and loosely to the plate. Fastball shows a range of 82-83 on a slight downhill plane with life. Changeup is best off speed pitch showing a plus feel for with arm side run. Breaking ball displays a 10/4 shape with tight spin and gradual break. He attacks hitters through strikes with all his pitches. At 3B, feet are active and aggressive in coming to get, playing through the baseball with his body. Hands are soft, clean, and sure displaying a plus glove action in making the plays. He gets rid of the baseball quickly through a quick transfer / exchange with feet and hands working well together. Throws show carry and accuracy across the diamond as he will benefit from a long toss program to continue to build arm strength. Offensively, Ross shows an aggressive approach with hands working inside the ball, utilizing all fields as he maintains bat speed to and through the baseball. He has strength in his swing with ball jumping off his bat when centered. With 2 years to further develop, Taylor has an upside on the mound and could develop into a solid two-way player as he will get looks from the college coaches.
