07/17/2021 - Baseball Factory National World Series at Pirate City - Session 1 (MS) Theo is an 1B/OF prospect who will graduate in 2025. Tall frame athletic build with strength present and plenty of room to develop. In the OF, showed efficient footwork that enables him to cover ground in all directions. Low/square fielding position as he fields ball out front and fields it off the correct side. Works behind/through the ball. Long arm action, with a quick release, and he throws from a high 3/4 arm slot with an arm velocity of 76mph into infield. His throws were accurate and on-line with good carry. A left-handed hitter, starts with an even and athletic stance. Short/square stride with a simple load. Made square contact to the pull side with a bat exit velocity of 79mph. In live game action, he reached base 3 times and had an RBI and stolen base. As he continues to develop, we see him having a bright future on the baseball field.

03/13/2021 - Spring Pro Training Experience - MD (MS) Theo is a coachable 1B/RHP prospect who worked hard on his skills during the Spring Pro Training Experience. In the field, Theo shows efficient footwork and fields in a square position. His exchange is clean and he makes accurate throws to his target. On the mound, Theo gathers over the rubber and is fluid separating his hands. He works with a quick arm and accelerates through his release, staying inline toward the plate. Theo shows a four pitch mix with his fastball topping out at 72mph with arm side run. Curveball sits from 57-60mph with 12-6 break. Slider sits at 67mph. Changeup sits from 63-64mph. With four more years to develop, Theo has the time and potential to further build upon his skills on the field.

03/08/2020 - Interactive Video Program - Bel Air (Baltimore), MD Theo is a young (2025 grad) L/R 2-way player 1B/RHP. With the bat, displays an athletic setup with centered balance. He has a smooth stroke, squares the ball up and hits the ball where it's pitched, using the entire field. At 1B, he hustles into a square fielding position and tracks GB's into his mitt. He has a quick exchange and makes accurate throws to his target. On the mound, this RHP has a 3-pitch mix coming from a high 3/4 arm slot. He keeps his eyes on his target and stays directional toward the dish. FB ranges from 58-59 mph while breaking ball has 9/3 shape. Only a 2025 grad - Theo still has a ton of time to develop. Continuing to work on the following will aid in his overall development.

Offense
1. Contact points
2. Bat speed
3. Barrel control
Defense
1. Fielding position
2. Glove presentation
3. Lateral actions

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
