01/17/2020 - 2020 Under Armour All-America Pre-Season Tournament Tommy is a solid, athletic OF who showed as a top prospect at the Under Armour Pre Season All American Tournament. In the OF, defensive abilities are at a pro level as he displays smooth/athletic actions. Feet are active as he takes proper routes/angles in tracking down balls. He works to get behind balls, playing through with momentum to his target. Range is a plus as he reads balls well off the bat and utilizes his quick feet (6.58 60 time), covering a lot of ground. Throws are accurate with on line zip (98 mph velocity) to his target. At the plate he continues shine, displaying tremendous hitting abilities with superior power potential through an athletic setup. Hands are quick (105 mph exit velocity) and work to and through a short/direct/level swing path, creating extension. He has strength in his swing and he works to keep hands inside the ball, utilizing all fields with gap-to-gap pop. Tommy was one of the top players at the event and has the makings of a top draft pick in 2021.

01/12/2018 - 2018 Baseball Factory All-America Pre-Season Rookie Tournament Tommy is a talented OF/RHP prospect who showed well at the All-America Pre-Season Rookie Tournament. In the field, Tommy shows efficient footwork and good range, especially to his backhand side. He gets into and athletic position and fields the ball out in front of his body. He has a clean exchange and gains momentum well on his throws which allows them to remain accurate and carry through his target. At the plate, this RHH sets up in an athletic position and takes a short stride. He is smooth getting back into his load and finishes with a firm front side in his lower half. He takes a level swing with fast bat speed which leads to hard contact and good power. On the mound, Tommy shows good mound presence and fills up the strike zone. He has a two pitch mix with his fastball topping out at 84mph with good cutting action. Breaking ball sits from 69-71mph with 11-5 break. Tommy is a skilled prospect who will be one to watch over the next few years.

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
