He has good footwork on double plays and makes accurate throws. He needs to continue to work from the ground up and learn to throw from multiple arm angels to have a quicker release on the ball. Long tossing and working on game like throws in his throwing program will elevate his skills at the position. At the plate, Thomas starts in a squared stance, gets his front foot down on time, and creates backside rotation with his lower half. He has fast hands and keeps a middle approach. He needs to continue to attack the inside part of the ball and be on time for the fastball. On the bump, Thomas gathers over the rubber, separates on time, and drives his back leg toward the plate. Working north to south in his delivery will help him get extension over the front side. Thomas needs to continue to focus and make adjustments from the constructive feedback he receives from the coaching staff. He will continue to improve with experience and we hope to see his progress in the future.
