07/26/2013 - Baseball Factory National World Series at Pirate City Thomas is a tall, athletic corner infielder who also pitches. In the infield, he has soft/sure hands, good footwork, and fields from an athletic position. He showed an accurate arm with good carry. At the plate, Thomas has a crouched set up and takes a short stride. He has good barrel accuracy and made consistent contact during the camp. Thomas showcased on the mound and showed a good mound presence. He was a competitor and gave his team a chance to win during the games. He was able to repeat his delivery and had good timing. With more extension and leg drive, Thomas could become a nice option on the mound at the next level.

01/27/2013 - Interactive Video Program - Delray Beach, FL Thomas is a tall, corner INF with good athleticism. Defensively, Thomas has active feet, sure hands, and he keeps his feet moving. He attacks the ball aggressively, moves well laterally, and he throws with accuracy and average strength to his target. At the plate, Thomas has an athletic set-up, a short stride, and good balance. He can spray to all fields and uses his lower body well. Overall abilities can improve if Thomas can work on the following.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
