08/29/2024 - All-Ripken Games - Baltimore, MD Thomas is a solid INF/RHP who recently impressed scouts with his two-way actions at the Ripken Games in MD. In the field, he has the arm strength to compete at numerous positions with a 54 velo. He has a bat to glove-to-glove time at 4.68. On the mound, he has great presence and competes. He has an excellent delivery and is in the zone. His FB sits 56-60 and his CB ranges 47-9. He collected 2 K’s in 2 innings of work while fielding his position well. At the plate, he collected 4 hits and drew a walk. He flashes power potential with a 55 exit velo. Overall, Thomas is a fine player with a strong feel for the game.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
