06/22/2013 - Omaha National World Series - Session 2 Tim showed as a 3B and on the mound for the first time. At 3B, he is an outstanding defender as he squares balls up, plays through balls while presenting soft / sure hands well out front. Throws display accuracy and carry across the diamond. At the plate, he displays quick hands, flashing bat speed through a level swing path. He shows a feel for the barrel with power numbers continuing to improve as he learns to use his lower half more. At the event, he was 2 for 7 and consistently put the ball in play. On the mound, fastball showed a range of 76-78 mph. Breaking ball is a quality pitch when he stays on top, displaying 10/4 shape with sharp action. Control is a plus as he throws strikes with all his pitches. Stock on the mound will continue to rise as more arm strength is gained. Mental makeup is a plus as he plays hard and is very coachable.
