12/14/2014 - College PREP - Monterey Park (Los Angeles), CA Timothy is a 2017 southpaw that showed good feel and mechanics in his first outing with Baseball Factory. On the hill, he topped out at 80 with his FB, spun CB at 65-67, and showed feel for a sinking CH that had some run at 66-70. He gathered over the rubber, separated on-time, and delivered pitches with loose/free arm action. He worked downhill, and stayed in the zone with most of his pitches. A more relaxed upper half, with greater control of his head, and a throwing program, will improve strikes and velocity. At the dish, he had smooth actions to get to a strong hitting position with activated hands, and generated good bat speed with barrel accuracy to hit. He stayed inside the ball and worked through the middle of the field with his approach. His lower half drove through contact and he made consistent line-drive contact. In all - Timothy is an intriguing follow that has good projection on the bump and he can swing it.
