01/15/2010 - Under Armour Pre-Season All-America - 2010 TJ showed similar skills at the UA Preseason All-America as he did bat in 10/09. He is a young, 2-way player that continues to project as a Collegiate player at both positions. At 3B, TJ's hands and feet play well, and he has loose actions. He plays in rhythm, his hands are soft, and he makes plays on balls hit his way. Added strength and more lower 1/2 will help his defensive ability further improve. On the mound, TJ has good arm swing and he gets good extension. He pitches to contact, throws strikes, and fields his position well. A closed front side, and more leg drive should help add velocity and help command. Offensively, TJ has good balance and bat speed. He gets proper extension to and through the ball and has a level swing plane. If TJ can be more direct to the ball, and use more lower 1/2 in his swing, we could see offensive grades pick up.
