12/27/2016 - Baseball Factory Christmas Camp & Tournament at Pirate City - Session 2 Tommy is a hard working 2-way player who showed well during his time in Pirate City. On the mound, this athletic (6'0"/180) LHP works to a controlled balance point, has smooth separation and stays downhill in-line toward the plate. FB tops out at 76 mph while showing slight sinking action. He works the ball in and out and challenges hitters to swing the bat. Breaking ball has 12/6 shape with good action, proving to be a solid swing and miss pitch. He mixes his looks and holds runners well. In the OF, Tommy hustles to his right and left to track down fly-balls. He secures the ball with 2-hands, has a clean exchange and fires strong throws into his target. Continuing to develop his footwork and quickness will aid in his OF development. With the bat, this LHH shows a square setup with rhythm. He swings on a level path, squares the ball up and drives it on a line. He battles at the plate and puts the bat on the ball consistently. Getting loaded sooner along with striding more square will both help to improve his skills at the plate. This 2019 grad is a gamer who has a ton of upside on the diamond.
