10/15/2008 - Arizona Senior Fall Classic - 2008 Kissinger showed excellent bat speed at the plate, along with gap power. He hit from a solid base, and did a good job of staying short to contact while still maintaining an aggressive approach. Can work to stay taller on his back side on pitches away, has ability to drive the ball the other way if he can stay flatter through the zone. Defensively, he showed soft hands and good glove action. His feet worked fairly well, and he showed a quick release. Can work to improve his arm strength, specifically he needs more wrist action through release. Overall, he has potential to hit at the college level - appears to be able to play corner OF positions as well as 1B, to give his bat more chances to play.

02/10/2008 - College PREP - El Cajon, CA Tony has the makings to be top notch player at the next level. He has a strong body and moves like a middle guy at 1B. His feet play a lot quicker than his 60 time indicates. He shows a ton of athletic ability in all his actions. He is a solid receiver at 1B displaying well above average foot work and consistently showed the ability to pick balls out of the dirt. At the plate, Tony continues to shine displaying above average ability and creating well above average power. He does an excellent job of utilizing his lower half in the hitting process. He consistently finds the barrel and stays through the baseball at contact. If in need of an athletic power hitting first baseman, Tony is your guy. He will be a solid player at the next level with a ton of potential.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
