03/07/2010 - College PREP - Oklahoma City, OK Tony is a young 3B that also plays football for his HS team. At 3B, Tony has sure hands and decent range. He makes plays on balls hit his way and his throws are accurate across the diamond. Defensive abilities can improve if Tony can get his glove down sooner, loosen his shoulder, and strengthen his arm through a long toss program. Offensively, Tony has a good set-up and he tracks the ball well. He has pop in his bat when centered on the barrel, and with more direct hands to the ball, and better physical conditioning, offensive grades can get better.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
