09/14/2014 - College PREP - Fresno, CA Hollins is a versatile 2-way player (2B/OF) who has an athletic build. In the INF, he shows active pre-pitch footwork moving on the balls of his feet. He fields the ball with sure hands and has quick release, getting to ball over to 1B accurately. In the OF, he takes a quick first step and is aggressive to track down balls hit into the gaps. He catches the fly-ball at it's highest point and displays athletic actions. Getting on a long toss program and utilizing a crow-hop to throw will help to increase arm strength. With the bat, Trejon shows an athletic setup with good balance. He delivers the barrel on a short/direct path, connecting and hitting the ball on line. Striding square (not closed) will help to get all he can out of the swing. A 2016 grad - Hollins has skills and is a few adjustments away from unlocking his potential.

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
