07/29/2014 - Under Armour Southwest Championships, powered by Baseball Factory's Team One Jeary continues to show improvements in his baseball abilities. Behind the plate, pop times have improved as he threw his lowest pop times to date at 2.00 as he gets rid of the baseball quickly. He will control the running game with his feet and arm. Times will continue to drop as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program. Receiving / blocking tools show as quality tools that will play well at the next level. At the plate he has improved his hitting abilities, now showing well above average with solid power potential through an athletic setup. Hands are quick, generating bat speed through a compact / direct swing path. He works to stay inside the ball utilizing all fields and shows a feel for the barrel with baseball exploding off the bat when centered, displaying gap to gap pop. Mental makeup is a plus as he is very coachable and works hard to be the best he can be.
