06/18/2017 - College PREP - Kansas City, MO Trenton is a lean, athletic OF/RHP prospect. In the OF, Trenton has active pre pitch movement and takes a quick first step on the ball. Trenton creates good angels to ball and makes the routine play. Trenton can improve defensively by playing through ground balls more. At the plate, Trenton has a balanced stance, loads his hands into the drive position, stays level with his swing path, and hits the ball to all fields. If he continues to work on drive his backside and get extension through the ball, he will continue to make hard contact through the middle of the field. On the bump, Trenton gathers over the rubber, gets to a balance point, and stays directional toward the plate. If he continues to throw down hill he will pound the bottom half of the strike zone with more consistency. Overall, Trenton is a solid prospect who should find success in his upcoming senior year.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
